30x500

What if you launch a product...
and nobody buys it?

It all started when you made the decision, "I'm finally going to start a product business." Perhaps you sat down to scribble down 100 business ideas at your kitchen table. Maybe you stared blankly at a page, frustration mounting, as you couldn't get a single idea out of your head.

When you finally pick an idea, are you ready to invest all of the time into building and launching it? Even an MVP is going to take some serious effort.

And then your biggest fear takes over. Will your hopes of launching to Techcrunch trumpets and fanfare be dashed by the sound of - *chirp chirp* - crickets?

"Where are all of those people who said this was a great business idea?

Why isn't anybody buying?"

Is that it? A premature demise for your product biz?

If you're lucky, you might have scored a dismal few of sales at launch (thanks, mom). But now what? You're starting to doubt if the decision to start a business was a good decision after all.

But it's exhausting to even consider the alternatives - starting all over again from scratch without knowing how to avoid making the same mistakes, or going back to get a j-o-b. Ugh.

What if you could skip ALL of the guesswork?

Imagine if you could read your prospective customers' minds. I know it sounds like a silly superpower...but really. What would it be like if you could know - not hope or guess but actually be certain - that people will buy your product on launch day?

You'd never have to wonder, "is this a good idea?" or "are people going to want it enough to pay for it?" Your time is precious, so peeking inside your customers' brains would let you make sure that you're working on something they'll actually buy. So much pain, and heartache could be avoided.

And the dream of waking up with more money in your bank account than when you went to sleep the night before could finally come true.

Even though you're not an expert marketer, you'd be able to write up a sales pages that makes your customers salivate for your products, literally throwing their credit cards at their screen saying: "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!"

You'd have an audience full of the BEST kinds of customers: people that trust you to help them, people that will return for follow-up sales, and people who will recommend you to their friends.

Good news, friends. You don't actually need to be a mind reader. You just need to learn Sales Safari.

"If you have a pile of projects that have gone nowhere and made zero dollars, and are finally ready to actually create a business instead of a project, take 30x500 ASAP then just do what Amy and Alex tell you to do."
- Sean Fioritto, Sketching with CSS (case study!)

We start 30x500 with a Bootcamp for a reason: you're going to work muscles you haven't used in a while. Over two full days, you'll go through over 20 high-impact lessons, each with a carefully crafted regimen of real-time practice.

And to make sure you're doing the practice correctly, you get Amy AND Alex's expert coaching to make sure you keep on pace and on track for succes.

When & Where?

The "lesson" portions of the Bootcamp come as pre-recorded videos to free up Alex and Amy to be in the chat room answering questions. They also make it easy to pause or rewind a video clip while taking notes, or to re-watch over and over after the class.

You'll learn at TON about bootstrapping sales in 2 days

We're not joking when we say that the 30x500 Bootcamp packs a punch. By the end of day one, you'll know...

The hands-on exercises will give you experience with:

By the end of day one, you'll see how personal creativity, stroke of genius, the million-dollar idea that pops into your head in the shower… these are things you can’t control. That’s why they’re poor damn things to try to base a business on.

Our process of Sales Safari is the opposite of all of those: it’s systematic, under control, available to you at any time. Get good data, and you can find out...

And you can use that data to come up with infinite product ideas to serve them.

And you can use that data to write powerful, attention-grabbing pitches that earn people’s trust (and trust is an asset that you can translate into real value).

And then you can use that SAME data to write helpful, educational marketing content that your audience will want to share with their friends, introducing more potential customers to you.

It’s worth noting: This can seem like a somewhat slow process, and in practice it does take time. Persistence is virtue, but unlike spending time on "validation", or waiting (and wishing and hoping) for genius to strike, it works every time.

Next, you'll turn Sales Safari reseach into RESULTS

By the end of day 2, you'll have learned:

Day two exercises include:

Failure doesn't NEED to be an option

SO many business failures are the result of people just letting business happen to them...and then they wonder what's wrong when things don't happen the way they expected it would go.

But that’s completely avoidable, when you know how to be strategic.

Most people think marketing is just of telling potential customers about your product and it’s benefits, and then wonder why nobody cares.

But not you. You'll use knowledge gained from Safari Data to speak authoritatively about what your customers care about the most – THEMSELVES.

And rather than sitting around and waiting for sales (and never knowing why some people buy and others don’t), you’ll start to systematically build trust with the audience using ebombs (educational content marketing) so that by the time you’ve got something for sale, you’ve already earned it.

This is all a system

Once you start to see how the "boring" Sales Safari process gives you data you can use to build a LASTING business, you'll never again want to try building and marketing a product without these trusty strategies (and the data) by your side.

"Total revenue to date - $36,206.90.I literally hadn't sold a single product in my entire life ... only 4 months ago. Have I told you THANK YOU for 30x500 lately? " - Rob Williams, The Workshop (case study!)

Okay, I want in. How much does the Bootcamp cost?

Option 1 – The COMPLETE 30x500 package – $2,450

This is hands down the most action-oriented course we’ve ever created.

Once you’re in the Bootcamp, there’s literally no way to NOT learn and practice all of the cornerstone skills that you need to bootstrap your product business...except for maybe not showing up to the Bootcamp itself. And it'd be silly to pay and not show up, wouldn't it?

In addition to attending the 30x500 Bootcamp, you'll leave with:

"I'm only 1 hour in to the roundtable video & transcripts, and there are so many insights on packaging, the wild importance of an email list, non-sexy markets, warm sales leads and consulting, and long-term revenue."

- Chris L, August 2013 Bootcamp Attendee

But...what will you do after the Bootcamp?

Will you APPLY all of those cornerstone skills to your business, in the order in which you need to do them, without someone else making sure you stay on track?

Because most people don’t.

Will you carve out a little bit of time every day to implement the things you learned, even when you have other work begging for your attention?

Because most people don’t.

Will you follow ALL of the steps in the process, even the ones you’re not good at yet, and practice them diligently until you start getting the results you want?

Because most people don’t.

All of the top reasons that people DON’T succeed after taking 30×500 are totally avoidable, and the 30×500 COMPLETE package is designed to help you avoid the these same mistakes.

You get 4 weeks of tiny-bite exercises - 8 hours a week worth - rolled up into a comprehensive Exercise Program. You'll start by finding your real audiences' and their watering holes, and you'll end with a mailing list, a stable of ebombs, and the making of potential pitches.

During your 4 week Exercise Program, you'll be working on applying 30x500 to YOUR audience. Step by step you will:

Results? Yep, we got those.

Option 2 – The BASIC 30x500 package – $1,950

If you’re 100% confident in your ability to take the 30×500 lessons and put them into action, then the BASIC package is for you.

The BASIC package does NOT include the 4 week exercise program.

In addition to attending the 30x500 Bootcamp, you'll leave with:

Again, the BASIC package does NOT include the 4 week exercise program.

The next 30x500 sessions will be announced exclusively to our bootstrapper community mailing list.

30x500 sells out all 30 seats every time we open a class, so you definitely don't want to be on the outside looking in!

When you join our list, you get a bunch of free goodies... AND priority access to the application process. Not a member yet? It's totally free! Start with our 7-Part Guide to Kicking Product Ass.

Just so you know, you've read almost ALL the way to the end of this page.

As a thank you...here are 4 hand-picked articles to get your brain-juices flowing:

Wait, don't go! I still have a question!

No worries. Is it one of these frequently asked questions?

Q: I’m going to need to miss part of the Bootcamp. Will it be recorded?

A: It’s not that kind of class. The lessons themselves (short 10 minute videos) are all pre-recorded so they can be as succinct and topical as possible.

The real lure of the Bootcamp is more than 6 hours of live practice / review time with us… plus we can answer questions WHILE the few video lessons are playing.

Q: HOW exactly will this Bootcamp work?

A: Did you read the description above? If you did and still have a question, drop us a line: teachers@slash7.com!

Q: WHERE will the bootcamp take place?

A: 100% online! You just need a computer with a fast internet connection and a modern browser. You won’t be on camera, so you don’t even need to get pretty (though we’re sure you’re naturally beautiful).

Q: I’m not a designer or a developer. Can I take the 30×500 bootcamp?

A: Maybe! You don't need to be a designer, developer, or writer to successfully use the concepts that we teach in 30x500. The class is geared towards people who have the skills to create a product without outsourcing the product creation itself. Do you have those skills?

Outsourcing the production of a product puts you at a disadvantage. We don't accept people who intend to go that route because we've seen it sabotage too many potential success stories.

Still not sure if 30x500 is for you? Email teachers@slash7.com and ask us!

Q: Can I use this with xyz idea I had to find ‘validation’?

A: Nope. That’s backwards. The 30×500 process won’t help you ‘validate’ your idea — that’s a technique for the land of wishin’ and hopin’ and we don’t teach that here. HOWEVER, if you already have a product THAT’S ALREADY MAKING SALES, the 30×500 bootcamp techniques can help you make MORE sales and grow your product empire further, by understanding your market even better, and marketing and selling more effectively.

Q: Do you offer payment plans?

A: No, sorry. Save your pennies for the next time we offer the bootcamp!

STILL have a questions? Shoot us an email, we're happy to answer.

Who is teaching this class anyway?

Oh, right. Who the heck are we that you should listen to us?
